An extensive extended journey through the Australian Coast has been cancelled days after the fatal incident of an elderly woman who was stranded by the vessel on a isolated island.

Suzanne Rees had been hiking on the tropical location with other travelers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the group for a pause. The vessel sailed away leaving her and went back later that day after the crew realised the lady was missing.

A major search operation found her remains the subsequent day.

Investigative bodies are investigating the incident, together with investigators and the medical examiner.

Chief Executive of the voyage organizer stated that guests and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were told that the rest of the cruise had been called off due to the "tragic passing and prior mechanical issues".

Through an announcement, he mentioned that travelers would be given a total repayment, and said the organization was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the passengers via private aircraft".

Officials also released an latest statement, and said they had "issued a notice to the Master" banning any new passengers from boarding the vessel.
